Frottage is a very simple technique producing the most complex of finishes. Wonderful leather and marble effects can be produced quickly and easily. 2 . Apply either one shade of glaze to the surface with a synthetic brush.... 3 ...or two colors together, randomly. If two colours are used, blend colors by dabbing the Stippler firmly into the glaze at right angles. 4. Crumple up a sheet of newspaper; open it out and apply it to the glaze; gently peeling off and re-applying to create a pattern.
