For more adventurous projects, prominent features can be achieved on furniture, doors and cupboards. YOU WILL NEED Colored Emulsion or Special Effects paint. Silk as a background for your wall, Gloss or Quick Dry Satin as a background for woodwork and furniture. Stamps from the Decorative Effects range.

tray. Card to test your technique before painting. * Do not use matt emulsion for your background, as it is too absorbent. YOUR STEP BY STEP GUIDE Before you start, experiment on a card to achieve the desired effect.
Ensure surface to be decorated is clean. Apply a basecoat and allow to dry. Stamping Off Apply the paint evenly over tho area required or a convenient section. While the paint is still wet press the stamp into the applied paint, then pull it away. Remove any excess paint by stamping onto the card. Stamping On
Pour a small amount of paint into a tray. USEFUL HINTS AND TIPS Mistakes can be removed with a wet cloth before the paint dries. Surfaces subject to wear and tear should be protected with clear varnish which should be applied - after the effect has been allowed to dry for at least 24 hours.
