Before you start to do any papering make sure that you are properly prepared.

  1. Ensure that you are able to reach the surfaces you have to paper.
  2. When papering a ceiling all the furniture needs to be removed from the room unless the room is large enough to paper the ceiling in two halves.
  3. Have a sufficient quantity of wallpaper.
  4. Have the paste prepared.
  5. Ensure you have the tools to carry out the project.

Check that you have:-

  • A bucket for paste
  • A paste brush or roller
  • Scissors and/or craft knife or sharp blades
  • A measuring tape
  • A spirit level
  • A plumbline
  • A pencil, NOT a biro or felt tip pen
  • A paste table
  • A sponge
  • A papering brush or soft cloth
  • A seam roller
  • A small (½ inch) brush for dry edges
  • Border adhesive
  • A stepladder
