Decorating Defects - their cause and cure Blistering of Lincrusta
If blisters develop on Lincrusta shortly after the application, the defect
is probably due to one of the following causes:
(a) Material insufficiently soaked before hanging.
(b) Wall inadequately damped.
(c) Lincrusta not sufficiently pressed home to the surface of the wall to
ensure all the air being expelled.
(d) Paste too thin.
Blisters which appear on Lincrusta will often subside of their own
account after a few days, but if they do not, on no account should they be cut or pricked. If they have not disappeared after several weeks, there is nothing for it but to strip the wall and refix.
