Interior decorating materials.

Apart from the usual paints and materials which you use for standard decorating, certain specialist finishes require uncommon and sometimes very rare substances.
ACRYLIC LACQUER
Acrylic Lacquer is a very clear high-quality hard sandable lacquer specially suitable for protecting marbled and wood-grained surfaces and for decoupage. A number of coats can be built up without yellowing or loss of clarity and it dries to a satin finish. Lacquer is advised where extra protection against wear is required, eg table tops, worktops, etc.
VARNISHING WAX
This unique clear brushable coating combines the silky feel and appearance of traditional beeswax with the heat and water resistance of an acrylic varnish. It is ideal for pine timber and furniture where an older look and feel are required and can be buffed to give a lustre not possible with traditional varnishes. Emulsion/latex paint is given an aged, translucent effect when coated with Varnishing Wax.
CURING OF ACRYLIC COATINGS
Acrylic coatings dry very quickly but they may take a considerable time to harden, depending on conditions. The surface should not come into contact with heavy oblects or liquids until fully hardened.
