Pacific Paint & Oil Manufacturing, Inc. - makers of BOYSEN PAINTS(Philippines)
Pacific Paint & Oil Manufacturing, Inc. (PPOMI) was founded in 1953 as a repacker of paint and lacquer thinners under the Columbus name. In 1958, the company expanded its operations with the introduction of Nation House Paints. In 1960, the company acquired the license to manufacture Boysen Paints from the Walter N. Boysen Company of Oakland, California, USA.This gave birth to a comprehensive line of Boysen decorative coatings for architectural application. PPOMI confidently began to target the high-end requirements of the Philippine paint market. Today PPOMI is the leading manufacturer of architectural coatings in the country. As the market leader, PPOMI is firmly committed to always provide the best quality product to its customers at the lowest price possible. Its premium line, BOYSEN PAINTS, was awarded the PS Mark Distinction of Quality by the Bureau of Product Standards in December 1995. Boysen Paint’s quality is recognized not only locally but also in other Asian countries, as evidenced by the steady growth of its exports to China, Guam, Saipan and Brunei. PPOMI is now the biggest domestic exporter of architectural paints. Boysen has also proven itself as the industry leader in product innovation with its constant development of new products to suit specific market needs, especially in environmental friendly paints. It was the first company to introduce a water-based metal primer (Primeguard) and a water-based acrylic epoxy paint (Acqua Epoxy) in Southeast Asia. Through constant progress and innovation, PPOMI keeps elevating the level of confidence bestowed by its customers. In 1998, PPOMI opened a fully integrated manufacturing plant just outside Metro Manila that is the biggest and most modern paint production plant in the Philippines. The new plant puts PPOMI in an even better position to service its customers with reliable supply and continually improving product quality. To better service its customers, a Technical Services Department has been set up to provide assistance to consumers with product inquiries and product specifications, instruction of proper surface preparation and painting techniques.
